The wealth of experience that our parent companies can and do provide means that we have a team with wide-ranging backgrounds. What unites us is a common purpose to bring excellence to the delivery of passenger trains services in Great Britain.

Organisation and Structure

Organisationally our people work in one of the operating companies for which we hold the concession. Both Merseyrail and Northern Rail are owned 50:50 by Serco and NedRailways.

This structure means that Serco-NedRailways operates with a
"virtual headquarters" - able to draw from the high quality people
that are employed either in our parent organisations or in our concessions/franchises and thus be able to deliver one of our key strategies which is to enable the transfer of best practice within and between different parts of our total team.
