Serco and NedRailways have joined forces in a strategic partnership to bring our combined experience and skills to the delivery of passenger train services in Great Britain.
A refreshing difference
Most passenger train services in Great Britain are operated by private sector companies holding franchises or concessions that have been awarded by national and regional Government. Our partnership brings a refreshing difference to the choice of operator available to Government and their executive agencies.
Rising to the challenge
The rail industry in Great Britain continues to face some real challenges that must be overcome if it is to play its vitally important role in the delivery of effective transport solutions that are sustainable and offer value for money. We are keen to play our part in meeting those challenges.
Our first concession was secured in 2003 for the operation of local train services on Merseyside. In 2004 Serco-NedRailways won the Northern Rail franchise.
